TradeHabit stores the information you enter: account details (name, email), trade journal entries (instruments, prices, P&L, notes), uploaded chart screenshots, growth plans, setups, goals and psychology entries. We do not collect data from your broker.
Your journal is private by default. Every record is tied to your account and is only readable after authentication. Passwords are hashed — they are never stored in plain text. Trade screenshots are stored in private storage and served only to your authenticated session; there are no public URLs for your images.
Sign-in uses secure, httpOnly session cookies. You can sign in with email + password or Google. You can review sessions and sign out of all devices at any time from Settings.
We never sell your data, never share your journal with other users, never make your trades public, and never use your trading information for advertising. There is no invasive tracking in the app.
You can export your complete journal — trades, growth plans, setups, psychology entries and goals — to CSV or JSON at any time from Reports or Settings. Your data belongs to you.
Deleting your account (Settings → Danger Zone) permanently removes your trades, screenshots, plans and all associated records, including stored image files. This action cannot be undone.
We retain your data for as long as your account exists. Session records expire automatically. Deleted accounts have their data removed promptly.
No system is 100% secure and we do not claim to be "unhackable". We follow secure-by-default practices — hashed passwords, per-user isolation, private file storage, rate limiting — and we encourage you to use a strong unique password.
